The informational or educational content of this Website (“Course Content”) is provided by Christine Gebhard (“the Instructor”, she) and includes video, audio, text, images, and downloadable materials.

Instructor's Access To Information That Teachable Collects

When you register an account on this Website or enroll in a course offered on this Website, certain personal information collected by Teachable is made available by Teachable to the Instructor, which may include:

  • Your name, email address, login IP address, your course sign-up date, last login date, number of logins, course progress status, and purchase history for this Website.

Part of this information (Your name and email address) is provided directly by you to Teachable when you register an account. Registration of an account is necessary in order to enroll in a course (performance of contract).

Other parts of this information are recorded automatically by Teachable when you register an account on this Website, or enroll in a course on this Website, or log in to this Website.

This information is collected by Teachable and shared with the Instructor to support the Instructor's legitimate interests in service provision and improvement, and to enable her to monitor students' compliance with this Website's Terms of Use.

This information resides on Teachable's system as outlined in Teachable's Privacy . Teachable stores this information on their servers located in the United States. The Instructor has signed a Data Processing Addendum agreement with Teachable based on the E.U. commission's standard contractual clauses for data protection.

The Instructor does not store this information outside of Teachable's system. (Note: please review the next section "Information That You Provide Directly To The Instructor" to learn what happens if you provide personal data to the Instructor directly.)

Teachable stops sharing this information with the Instructor if a) the Instructor removes your account from this Website, or b) the Instructor removes this Website (i.e. her school) from the Teachable system. To request that the Instructor removes your account from this Website, please contact the Instructor per email at course(at)cip-cg.com. Note that by removing your account from this Website, your personal information is only deleted from the Teachable system if your account is a School Account and not a myTeachable Account. If it is a myTeachable Account, this information is stored by Teachable until you instruct Teachable to delete your account (myTeachable Account) or otherwise exercise your right to have your personal information changed or deleted by Teachable. Contact Teachable at [email protected] to request deletion of your myTeachable Account or exercise any of your other rights (see Your Rights).


Information That You Provide Directly To The Instructor

Personal information you provide to the Instructor by communicating directly with her, for example through a contact form on this Website or through direct email, is processed by the Instructor only to fulfill your request. At any time you can revoke your consent to the processing of this information or exercise your other rights in regard to the information you provided to the Instructor as outlined below: Your Rights. When you use the contact form on the Website, your full name as you listed it in your profile, your email address and your message will be sent to the Instructor per unsecured email.


How The Instructor Uses Your Information

The Instructor may use your information for the following purposes:

  • To handle your inquiry or request
    Information that you provide directly to the Instructor is used only to respond to and assist with your requests. The Instructor may refer to information that Teachable makes available to the Instructor (see: Instructor Access To Information That Teachable Collects) when working on your request.
  • To send notification emails about significant changes to this Website
    As long as you're a registered student on this Website, the Instructor may use your email address to inform you of any significant changes to the Website, such as the removal (closure) of the course, the deletion of a substantial amount of the Course Content, or significant changes to the way the Instructor uses your personal information. You will receive such email notifications only if you gave your consent during registration or in your Profile section to receive email notifications about this course from the Instructor.

How The Instructor Shares Your Information With Others

If you contact the Instructor directly with a technical or administrative course support request that requires Teachable's support, the Instructor may need to inform Teachable which student, i.e. student account, requested the support, in order for them to help you effectively. In any other cases, personal information that you provide directly to the Instructor is not shared with third parties, unless a) you consented to such sharing because it helps to fulfill your request, or b) legal requirements make it necessary to share this information.

Please note that for electronic communications, an external processor might be required to process the information: for example, if you send the Instructor an email, her email service provider is processing the email.

Personal information that Teachable makes available to the Instructor (see: Instructor Access To Information That Teachable Collects) is not shared by the Instructor with any third parties.

Please note that personal information will be shared if legal procedures, such as a subpoena, require the Instructor to do so.


How Long The Instructor Retains Your Information

Any personal information that you provided directly to the Instructor and is then processed by the Instructor is only held as long as necessary to fulfill your request, and it is deleted after completion of your request, unless:

  1. the law requires the information to be stored for a longer time or if contractual obligations make it necessary for the Instructor to hold the information longer.
  2. if (1.) does not apply, and you agreed in writing that the Instructor can keep this information longer to facilitate future communication with you for a particular purpose.

Your Rights

You have the right to receive fee-free access to the personal data collected and stored by the Instructor and to be informed about how the Instructor received and processes that information. This also applies to personal data that Teachable collected and then made available to the Instructor (see: Instructor Access To Information That Teachable Collects ).

You also have the right to have your personal information corrected, deleted, or to restrict our processing of this information.

You have the right to revoke your consent to the processing of your personal information.

You can object to the processing of your personal at any time, pursuant to Article 6 (1) f) of the EU GDPR or if we process the personal information for direct marketing.

Where Information That You Provide Directly To The Instructor Is Processed

Personal information that you provide to the Instructor through direct communication with the Instructor is processed by the Instructor only to fulfill your request. This information is processed on a system in the European Union (E.U.). The system adopts appropriate security measures against unauthorized access to, destruction, or disclosure of your personal information.

If in order to fulfill your request it becomes necessary that any personal information you provided directly to the Instructor is processed by a Data Processor outside of the European Union or EEA, then such processing will only take place if you give the Instructor your consent. Any such processing is based on the E.U. commission's standard contractual clauses for data protection or on Privacy Shield certification.

Information You Provide When Making Comments

If you use the comments functionality on this Website, your name as you listed it in your profile will be displayed when you post a comment. It will then be visible to anybody enrolled in the course where you made your comment and accessing the web page that displays your comment. The date and time the comment was posted is also shown. You are not allowed to provide any other personal information in your comments.

Your continued use of this Website is deemed to be your acceptance of any changes, so please check this Privacy Policy periodically for updates. The Instructor will notify you of any significant changes to this Privacy Policy relating to the way in which the Instructor processes your personal information by placing a notice on this Website and by notifying by email registered students who gave their consent to receive email notifications about this course (during registration or in the Profile section).
